How do I change the thermostat on an 88 ford bronco?

5.0 v8 engine. Can't find a manual anywhere. We thought we had it on right, but as soon as we added coolant to the system, it started leaking. Help!

Make sure the surfaces are completely clean, use a new gasket and put on a little gasket silicone. Also make sure the thermostat is in the proper position. The spring part goes into the manifold.
